Tips for Healthier Hair.

Having healthy hair is not a given. Maintaining your hair takes effort. Tired of having dull hair and dreaming of shiny, healthy locks? We get that! We have 10 tips for you which we think are important for having and keeping healthy hair.

Tip 1: Don’t Wash your Hair with Super Hot Water.

Hot water dries out your hair and scalp which are both important for the health of your hair. So wash your hair with warm or cold water.

Did you know that it helps to rinse out your hair with cold water after a wash? This will close the hair cuticles and your hair will shine more.

Tip 2: Blow drying your Hair? On the lowest setting!

Do you blow dry your hair? Then you should do so on the lowest heat setting. Hot air, just like very hot water, can damage your hair.

Tip 3: Don’t Wash your Hair too often.

Do you wash your hair everyday? If you can, avoid washing your hair daily as this can help maintain healthier locks. Your hair will get used to this and eventually becomes greasy less quickly.

Washing your hair less often is not only better for your hair, but also for the environment! Yet, if you must wash your hair everyday, choose a mild shampoo intended for daily use.

Tip 4: Use a Hair Mask

You know those rubber bands with an iron in the middle? This iron rubs against your hair and makes it brittle, making it easier to break. Instead, use a soft rubber band when holding your hair.

Tip 8: Don’t Brush your Hair when Wet

Wet hair breaks off more easily. Do not brush your hair when it is wet, because then the chance is much greater that your beloved locks will break off.  Try to wait until your hair is dry before brushing.
